We are looking for dedicated and ambitious students who want to spend the next semester working on challenging and rewarding projects within development finance in our Oslo office. Our investment areas are Renewable Energy, Green Infrastructure, Financial Inclusion, Scalable Enterprises and Funds.
As an intern you will work full time in one of these investment areas or with the Strategy & Communication Department.
All interns will get an extensive introduction to Norfund’s operations and participate in the Norfund week in August, our week-long annual strategy meeting with all employees. We are now recruiting interns for these five departments:
As an intern in Norfund, you will have the opportunity to participate in projects throughout the investment cycle and contribute with analyses on companies, sectors and countries.
In addition, the five interns will work on a joint strategic project throughout the internship.

Norfund - the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries
The Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries – Norfund - invests to create jobs, improve lives, and support the transition to net zero. The fund is owned by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will help to establish and grow viable and profitable businesses in developing countries, which would otherwise not be initiated due to high risk. About a third of the investment portfolio is in Renewable energy. Financial inclusion, Scalable enterprises in the agricultural and manufacturing industries and Green infrastructure are other prioritized investment areas. Norfund also manages the Norwegian Climate Investment Fund that aims to contribute to reducing or avoiding greenhouse gas emissions.
